İznik Roma Tiyatrosu MS 2. yüzyılda düz bir alana inşa edilerek tonozlarla yükseltilmesi nedeniyle mimari açıdan Türkiye’deki tek örnektir.
Gladyatör dövüşleri, oyunlar ve birçok muhteşem gösteriye ev sahipliği yapmıştır.
On bin kişi seyirci kapasitesi bulunur.
Dördüncü Haçlı Seferi seferinde İznik Devleti işgal edilmiş olup, savaşlarda ölen askerlerin topluca bu tiyatronun dehlizlerine gömüldüğü tespit edilmiştir.

Iznik Roman Theater
It is the only example in Turkey in terms of architecture, as it was built on a flat area in the 2nd century AD and raised with vaults. It hosted gladiator fights, games and many spectacular shows. It has a spectator capacity of ten thousand people.
During the Fourth Crusade, the State of Iznik was occupied, and it was determined that the soldiers who died in the wars were buried in the corridors of this theater.
